Embracing SAP’s innovation culture offering, GS Caltex took the 5 key enabler approach advised by SAP AppHaus: people, process, place supported by leadership and technology. As a result, the organizational change in each element has not only transformed the way GS Caltex employees work, but also brought the necessary changes to move to digital transformation.

To support GS Caltex's innovation journey across the whole organization, SAP AppHaus designers trained GS Caltex employees with Design Thinking. Over 350 employees of GS Caltex have been trained in Design Thinking with skills, competencies and mindset for innovation. The participants range from newly hired employees to CEO and the statistics shows that it is 20% of the total office employees.
The length and style of the workshop varies depending on the needs and the goals. Spanning from a 1 day experiential workshop to 2-3 days deep dive workshops and project based 3 months-long workshops, I designed each program based on the employees' level of understanding and their desired outcomes.
Key focus topics that were covered during workshops are, to a great degree, about leveraging advanced digital technologies. One of the desired outcomes of GS Caltex was to move to digital transformation and the company prepared themselves for the changes in technology through Design Thinking.
Conducted online workshops effectively using collaboration tools and whiteboards to engage employees with activities like ice breaking, vision sharing, discovering challenges and coming up with ideas as well as initial end-to-end scenarios.
Enablers support their colleagues to accelerate in Design Thinking. The enablers are dedicated to brining value creation among the workforce and ultimately fostering innovation capabilities across the entire organization.
I helped 16 GS Caltex enablers to learn about Design Thinking methodology, to be equipped with the mindset and build competence.
Design Thinking Learning Note is designed for a quick 2 hrs long workshop experience. I designed the learning note that layout the 5 phases in a glance, and step-by-step process of each phase to solve your design challenge for your user(s).
Advised by SAP AppHaus, GS Caltex began the space re-design project in its own context applying design thinking. I co-facilitated the design thinking project over the period of 7 weeks dedicated time with 10 employees. By following the strategic design thinking process, deeply understanding their fellow employees identifying the real problems, and yet, being creative with ideas and quickly testing the prototypes, the space project team was able to successfully launch their a mini collaborative space that used to be inefficient and underutilized area. The brand new space is now open for all GS Caltex employees in GS Tower, Seoul

I designed the storyline of the video, interviewed, and edited the video. The video clip talks about necessary steps to the digital transformation and how GS Caltex is embracing digital transformation beginning with Design Thinking and employee's change their way of working.
